Schedule of Events

Friday, May 28, 2004
10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Registration
Library
10:25 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Open House & Decade Rooms
In the Decade Rooms, we plan to prepare posters to "Complete the Circle." If you have pictures from your decade and can have them scanned and emailed, we will collect and arrange them on one side of the circle, and then current pictures of the same friends for the other side of the circle. Please contact Judy Delaute (40 Bower St, Ottawa, ON, K1S 0K3). Pictures will be numbered and we will have lists so we can match past pictures to their current owners. And don't forget to share your memorabilia!
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Alumni golf tournament
Meadows Golf & Country Club, 4335 Hawthorne Road, Ottawa [map]
This exciting event will start with a shot-gun, best-ball format and wrap up with a brief social get-together. Entry fee is $60/person, and includes golf, electric cart and applicable taxes. For out-of-town alumni, particularly those taking part in Friday evening events, return shuttle-bus transportation from downtown may be available at a nominal fee. Whether you're a duffer or a scratch golfer, the tournament will provide lots of fun and memories! Given the early response to word-of-mouth promotion, we expect a sold out tournament. Register now to secure one of the foursomes or tee-off slots available - first registered, first served! For more information, email Jim Kerr (1962). Update (May 26th): We are very close to our quota. Any new or additional registrants who have not already commmunicated to tournament organizers their intent to register should get in touch with Jim Kerr to confirm their place. The tournament format is a shotgun start, meaning all golfers tee-off at the same time (10:00 AM). You may want to arrive at least a half hour early to meet others in your foursome, sign in and get your cart.
10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Students' opening assembly
1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Alumni & staff vs. 2003/2004 volleyball teams game
Lisgar Gymnasium
Come out and play with your old teammates and coaches against our junior and senior girls and boys volleyball teams to relive the memories, and play on our brand new gym floor. For more information, contact Peter Niedre.
7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Alumni assembly
Auditorium
Find your old seat and join your friends. Alumni from the early and recent years will entertain you, as will the current orchestra. Be sure to review the Lisgar Song so you can sing along heartily!
7:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Blue and Grey night
Lisgar Gymnasium
Did you score the winning basket in the city championship? Did you fail to connect on that last second penalty shot and miss the playoffs? Did you organize an intramural event? Perhaps you stood on the sidelines and cheered until you lost your voice? Whatever your connection to the fine athletic history of Lisgar Collegiate, come on back to the gym to relive your past glories and catch up with former teammates, coaches and fans over a refreshing beverage or two. Cash bar, music, and light refreshment will be available.
